When is the Cheapest time of year to come to Vegas?

I'd like to take my first trip this year.

What months--days, etc are slowest. (I translate that into being the lowest room rates).

always understood Tues and Thurs to be cheapest for room rates, with summer being cheapest..many shows shut down in Late July, August and mid/late Sept, suggesting there is less demand that time of year.

Honestly anytime of year vegas isnt going to have trouble finding people willing to come, but if your there for more gambling and less entertainment those would be the days/months.

I know late December Circus Circus and the like have rooms (double occupancy) for 26 bucks on weekdays and i think 40 or 50 something on weekends--my friend an i took advantage of that and it was a great deal
